None of my display tanks makes any noise. I'm one of the foks who think that tanks should be seen and not heard.

I actually love the noise, because i have constant ear-ringing. the noise from the motor helps me get to sleep. but maybe thats just me.

For Gemstone I now have this huge clam decoration in the middle and the bubbles open and close the clam.

It makes a huge bubble noise. It is right at my bed. It first kept me awake but not the rhythm it makes helps me sleep.

I've taken new pictures will post once I get the off the camera. I finally found the zoom.

I don't like bubblers much because of the noise either. Especially since my F8 puffer that will be coming in this week is going to be right next to my bed :P. I put the air pump in a few socks and it dulls the sound but when I try to sleep the hum drives me nuts lol :).

Another major downside with air features (apart from sponge filters): People will be able to spot in seconds that you are a newbie.
