I've got no experience, but I just had to say good luck! I've got bbgs also, but I've yet to see anything like eggs. What else do you have in that tank?

So there were BBGs in the tank at one time? How old are the eggs?

Re: oooo i think im gonna have baby bumblebee gobies :O
Brachygobius xanthozonus, B. nunus, B. kabiliensis, and B. sua are all listed under both freshwater and brackish on fishbase.org.
Brachygobius xanthozonus is listed as a cave-brooder.
You might want to read up on raising egglayers in general. At a guess, they'll need infusoria to strart with, followed by progressively-larger yet incredibly tiny foods.
Do realize the fry are at a high risk of being eaten the second they hatch, unless you move them to a different tank.

Re: oooo i think im gonna have baby bumblebee gobies :O
well theyve started to hatch :O from reading etc, i knew they were gonna b small, but im still shocked at just how small lol!!had put a leaf with a load of eggs on in the little floating baby tank thing, but they are 2 small for it lol, most have escaped already. 2 small 2 catch aswell i reckon! spotted another load of eggs in a hollow bit under the piece of wood thats in there 2nite tho, theyve already got eyes n stuff, so they must b nearly ready i think!! i did wanna try n save them from being eaten etc, but i dont think theres much chance of moving the babies tbh
but there is loads of plants n stuff in there, so i think at least some might make it still
the brackish + freshwater thing has confused me a bit like, some places say freshwater, some say brackish...but im guessing if they are breeding, they must b happy in the water ive got them in!

Re: oooo i think im gonna have baby bumblebee gobies :O
I have 6 BBGs. Only one is male. The only time I see him is when he is out "courting" the ladies, otherwise he is gaurding the eggs. I have successfully netted the fry (catch at night using a flashlight and a brine shrimp net) and kept them in a nursery (DIY with a nylon stocking over it) but I can't find infusoria and everything else I've tried is far too big.

Earlier today I stopped at my LFS and one of the guys said he had seen a lot of DIY recipes for infusoria online, so I'm going to give that a try.
