Re: Just Another Rant
Hmm, Im torn personally. I would like to go hunting, But im not 100% certain I would be up to making deer meat, I want to try it but I only like gutting fish.
As for PP's comment: Iv seen what goes into the cheaper hot dogs. That dosent bother me any, Iv seen a lot of weird things go into food and il eat it.
After all, My family is from swamp land...Im used to it.

Re: Just Another Rant
A co-worker of mine insists that fish only have "like one brain cell", and therefore are completely stupid, with no personality and anything they "learn" is just Palov's response (sorry about the spelling).
Mind you this is a 50 some year old guy who's never bothered to take on the responsibilty of ANY pet, has had ONE girlfriend his entire life and complains about having to "lose" a day of his weekend to spend mother's day with his mom.. he's just a jerk all around. But he constantly tries to insult my fish.
As far as eating meat.. I personally prefer to buy locally raised and buctchered beef and pork when possible, but the downfall is having to buy it in bulk which means a lot of $$ at once and having to have a big freezer to store it in. There are some smaller local mom and pop grocers that do carry local meat though, and a local supermarket is now carrying local milk from a very local dairy, which is awesome (it has a much longer expiration date and you're supporting a local farmer).
You won't ever get me to go vegetarian though.. killing and eating plants is just as bad, if not worse, than killing and eating animals.. and hey, we need to eat. So might as well eat the tasty stuff!
