Puffers are good beggars! They will make you think they are starving and need food all the time. I only feed mine once a day and trust me, that's good enough. They will eat more than they should, so of course they are going to behave as if they are hungry. Don't give in. I feed all of my puffers in the evening and they are all in very good health -- some even being a bit chubby! So I'd stick to just feeding once a day.

They'll play up to you and as far as their appetite is concerned, they don't have an 'off switch'.

I feed mine once at 9am, and that's him done for the day. He'll beg, but if it were up to him he'd eat until he popped. I've had to shout at my girfriend for giving in to her dwarf puffers' begging before now. She kept feeding them two or three times a day, 5ml of bloodworms between three fish each time!

haha yeah. my puffers play with the snails too. my F8 gets the shells stuck on his lower lip all the time and makes my mom crack up. i would say only once a day. that's what both me and my mom have been doing since we've gotten the puffers and they are doing great. it is hard to resist those little guys when they beg, but we must.

I also suggest skipping feding oneday/week, for a fast day. Helps them with digestion. Are they skinny at all or just flat tummies? Mine are still fat 3 days after feeding.

Sounds normal to me. My puffers have been dewormed, and they're really healthy, but their bellies go down after a few hours.
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."
