A figure 8 puffer?

Post by FrogkiPuffer »

I'de like to buy a figure 8 puffer, and I know the care requirements are pretty large for a newbie like me, but I think I can keep a brackish environment, and I'de like some help on the set up with money being tight and everything... I'm waiting for my birthday, as I know I'll probably get about $40-$50 dollars, and I hope to set up a good home for em! I also need help on finding a place that sells them... Any help?! Thanks!

Heres what i would do.

Aquarium Materials
- 20 gallon long
- Aquaclear filter (get one of the larger ones for up to 75 g)
- Heater with correct wattage
- Light fixture (higher wattage for growing any live plants)
Livestock
- Figure eight
- 5 Bumble bee gobies
- Java fern
- Java moss
- Anubia sp.

Just a few basics. You can order puffers off of live aquaria however with your budget i would try to find some at a LFS.

Wow, Pufferpunk lol... I read your article about figure 8 pufferfish in Freshwater and Marine aquariums... And I have decided against the figure 8s for now, I believe that I will start out with the dwarf puffer, and I am reading up on it right now lol...

Since you have decided on a DP & started another thread on this, I'll lock this one, so folks don't get confused.
