Fahaka Jumping?
I was wondering how many inches I would need at the top to guarantee that my Fahaka will not jump out of his tank. Is 3 inches enough or would I need 6, or even more?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Fahaka Jumping?
You need a cover.
Fahakas are big, powerful fish and known for jumping. I believe they are even known for knocking the cover right off a tank and still jumping out.
So yeah, a cover, and a heavy one at that.

I'm sure Korrep doesn't want it do jump out and die. Just see it be active. I don't know...

I believe you have small mud puddles mixed up with acres of rice paddies.

Haha watching TV is awesome.
Ratchet favorite past time is watching the cat. As for jumping I've seen my little guy jump so I can't imagine what would have happened as he got bigger. I was too paranoid and bought nice heavy glass lids for my 120.

I'm learning that puffer fish are like pringles. There is no such thing as only wanting one.
Tanks:
38 gallon: 1 Figure 8 puffer, 1 Dragon Goby, 1 Knight Goby, 3 Black Mollies
30 gallon: 1 Blue Acara, 1 Bristlenose Pleco
120 gallon: Ratchet the Fahaka Puffer

Pookie jumped the other day while I was cleaning...it scared me to death! I'm glade I had half the water out so he wasn't in much danger! I'd just die if he flopped out on the floor

How big is your fahaka? I've never seen mine jump... but he is quite big .. in the past year he's doubled in size. 5-12"
