GSPs, Powerheads and UV sterilizers?

I was wondering whether or not GSPS like semi-strong water currents? I was thinking of installing a couple of powerheads so that they'd have something to swim against. Any thoughts? In addition, I was considering installing a 5 watt UV sterilizer; my tank is fully cycled and all of my parameters are fine (60 gallon, two GSPs by themself). Has anyone had any odd experience with a UV sterilizer causing a sudden cycle? I want to eliminate as many possibilities of my GSPs getting sick as possible.

GSPs swim to the ocean
ocean has a strong current lol so i think a few power heads would do the fish good

Really don't need the UVS, unless there are parasites in the water. Light current is fine.

The only experience I have with a UV sterilizer is in my pond, and that's just to keep the algea in control so my water stays clear. Without it, my pond looks like pea soup in the summer, and I can't see my fish and turtles unless they come to the surface.
