GSP discolored

My GSP Elevator does this once in a while. In fact, he looks like that today. This would be the third time he has done it. I think it has something to do with being "sick". He is a little sluggish, but still eats like a pig. Normally gets over it in a day or two.

In his case, I think its because he insisted on continually trying to steal some food from a bubble tip anemone. But I managed to convince him he was an idiot.

A bubble tip anemone? Is that the red version?

I try to tel it, it would be horrible Englisch, but better than nothing..

I also thought that my anemone was the cause, and also my Caulerpa taxifolia could being the problem.. Also the Blue algea ( cyanobacterie ) could be it.. The water is fine, every thing just as normal.

And oke, when they are sick...i wanne make them better. When there is some stuff in my home that should make me sick, I would like to refrain from.. (?)
I understand that it is very difficult to tell something from a pic, and i think that i must wait to the guy that knows this from his own fish.. Or something..

Lots of people's puffers have "mood swings," and we can't figure out why. But you say that they don't feel right. Try and describe the way they're acting.

What i mean..a bubble tip..no idea what that is.. i mean in dutch "tepelanemoon".. so i don't know if jou mean that kind of anemone or other one's,..

In my first pic you see Mini's tail... MIni is über hyper, always, he can't hanging still for 2 sec. He never ever going to lay somewhere! Muppet is a very fast tiny thing, that always is a sneaky little basterd to the lazyer Mini. Now Muppet looks like she must think for every move.. that when she want's to go right, she must think if she can! MIni is in lov with Muppet, al the time he is around Muppet, but now he's hanging under a rock, like a way i almost can't see him. And normal he is always showing his beaty..

I hope you understand it.. this is the best way i can tell what is strange about them..

Here is a picture of a red ("rose") bubble-tip anemone, also called an RBTA here. Is this what you have? Do you know its scientific name? I am not sure if identifying the species is important, but my understanding is that different anemones can have different effects on fish, so maybe it important. I understand what you are saying about behavior. It sounds like she is feeling a little sick or tired. The thing that makes me think that the color is not a sign of an infection or anything is that only the spots are lighter, and the green parts look the same. Do you know what I mean?

I can see a difference in the photos now, and yes, they do look a bit "unwell". I wish I could help, but I'm unsure what to suggest.

Looking at the pictures again, I am seeing some of the lighter color over the green as well as the black. Perhaps is really is a bacterial infection. I'm going to PM Corvus and see if he can help.

I don't think there is a health problem for sure. Keep the water clean, pH and oxygen high and feed a varied diet of vitamin enriched foods. Use fresh carbon if you supect anything toxic in the water.

Some GSPs show different colors/moods than others and still stay healthy for more than a decade.

Anyway, report back if any other symptoms occur.

And yes, thats the anemone i have..

The water is fine, they have a varied diet and also i give them one's a week vitamin..
The Carbon i put in 2 days ago..

And i understand about that moodswings, i know they could change when they a sleapy, when they see food walking in the tank, bt never it was wits this kind of spots with no color..
Now they are both fine.. like there was nothing wrong..

Some other people think it is that they are looking for who is the boss.. If you know what i mean I'm sure that that is not the problem, but i'm curious what you al think of that idea..

Both are fine... nothing strange anymore. They are both full color and as hypoer as normal!

The only thing iv'e done is changes the time of the lamps and removed the bubble tip anemone (I love the name like this, better than nipple anemone )

Now hoping that it stays like this! Thx voor all your'e advice!!
