The mystery of the Ghost Shrimp
Hey everyone!
Not been on in a while hope you are all good
. I bought 3 Ghost Shrimp to clean up the algae from my Irrubesco tank, it was kinda experimental as I wasn't sure if the Irrubescos would eat the shrimp. The first few days went well, the algae was eaten but then the shrimp dissapeared!!! I didnt see them for weeks and assumed they were dead, especially when I found what appeared to be the remains of a shrimp......2 months later my tank is still algae free and I have since found more "remains" which turned out to be the shell!!! It seems my Ghost Shrimp are alive
they are just very good at hiding!!!

You know what? That was thread hijacking. I'm sorry.
I had 4 in my 5 gallon and I only found 2 bodies.

- My Puffers: I have had my first puffer for about 2-3 weeks now and her name is Mrs. Puff, i just bought another puffer about 5 days ago and his name is Mr. Puff. They are awsome fish and they look great!! Mr. Puff is more curious and loves to see me. Mrs. Puff is very shy but im working with her so hopefully she will become more open.

Re: The mystery of the Ghost Shrimp
I'm not sure about the 30 gallon deal, but with the ghost shrimp, i had one in my puffers tank that i expected them to eat but they didnt for some reason, maybe they couldnt see it...anyways i found it while cleaning my tank and just gave it to my fiances oscars. lol i think sometimes its hard for them to see those shrimp and my eventually forget they are there until they see them moving.
Puffers are amazing!!

Re: The mystery of the Ghost Shrimp
I found a the leftovers from a molting then found two dead bodies. I still can't find those last two, and I've completely checked everything. I doubt they could of ate them, as they're as big as my DP's.

Sometimes I don't see mine for a couple of weeks, and then one day he's perched up in a plant, little legs whirring!
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

Re: The mystery of the Ghost Shrimp
The night I posted this message I saw one scoot across the tank, just after lights out! lol! There are loads of caves and tons of plants in my tank, it's like a jungle so they can easily stay out of view!
