Just started my brackish a few hours ago

Tain't fresh, and tain't marine! Talk about brackish setups.

My Puffers: I have had my first puffer for about 2-3 weeks now and her name is Mrs. Puff, i just bought another puffer about 5 days ago and his name is Mr. Puff. They are awsome fish and they look great!! Mr. Puff is more curious and loves to see me. Mrs. Puff is very shy but im working with her so hopefully she will become more open.

I just started my GSP's brackish water a few hours ago...everything seems to be going well and i'm almost positive my sg is as should be, it may be a little higher but not much...any advice would be great

Better to raise SG on the slow side then too high too fast.

that is true...it just seems like there isnt any salt in there!? Even though i know there is. But you are right :D

Are you pre-mixing the salt for 24 hours before you add it?

um...no :( i hope thats not bad. They said that it could go right in after i made sure it was all dissolved and that i airated it for a little bit

They??? You're not listening to the LFS are you? You won't get the proper SG of your water, unless the sale it completely dissolved. Best way to do that is in a bucket with a powerhead mixing overnight.

no i wasnt listening to the LFS i wont do that anymore, unless they really get me to believe what they are saying than i will make sure (on here) if what they said is correct or not before i do anything. The side of the box said that it could be put in right away but now i know. Is it ok to use an airator, or should i use a powerhead? I have a really good airator, it puts out a lot of air.

My Puffers: 1 GSP (Microfiche) RIP, 1 Monotrete Turgidus (Leon) in a 30gal. 1 Monotrete suvattii in a 40 gal FW. 120 gallon BW with 3 juvenile Dragon Gobies (so cool). 55 gal with a 2" GSP named Hank. 180 gallon being set up for a Fahaka in the next few months!
