In another thread someone was selling a juvenile for $2500 and it was questionable if it was a true Cross River. So I'd hazard a guess of about $5000+ for an adult. Have pictures to make sure is a true Cross River and not a Fahaka in disguise? Sometimes they can look very similar.

Its a real one 100% its bright white with amazing pink/red spots no strips and about 14". the main problem is, is raising the funds meaning I might have to sell hellboy(red congo)+setup and maybe my fahaka and that would be painfull.

Looks like this is turning into a private conversation so I guess it goes back to the OP's original topic or it gets moved to the Classifieds or locked.

My Puffers: I currently own and maintain a cross river puffer (tetraodon pustulatus) in Houston, TX.

Re: Pustulatus price how much would you pay

I currently own and care for a Tetraodon Pustulatus and it was listed for $3,000 USD when I purchased it over four months ago. However, I was able to negotiate it down to $2,000 USD which I believe is indicative that prices on expensive aquatic life are very negotiable. Nevertheless, I would be more concerned in making sure that the actual specimen is a true Pustulatus considering the large amount of people who consistently confuse them with young Fahakas which are not even close in price. Would anyone know how many true Pustulatus are available in the United States or even worldwide? Apparently it is a very delicate species that only develops where the East Rivers of Africa intersect.
