Is putting a cuttlefish bone in my tank a good idea? Ive heard they like it and it shaves theyre beaks well too.

- My Puffers: 2 x 3" green spotted puffers & 1 x 5" green spotted puffer all live with 2 x jewel cichlids, 1 x electric yellow cichlid, 1 x cobalt blue cichlid, 1 x bristlenose plec , in a ph8.2 sg1000.05 250 litre tank.

i have used cuttle fish bone and also crab shells they seem to have a nip on them when they are looking for food.

I read it increases hardness. No idea if it raises pH.
