Tetra Safestart for full Cycle?

Oh I forgot to mention. The cycle took 13 days for Nitrate and Ammonia to register 0 and Nitrate 80 ppm. I let 2 more days pass while adding ammonia and did a 90% water change.

The cycle was completed with Tetra Safestart and no seed material.

So there's live bacteria in there, but not enough?

I guess there's enough to handle a small load. I don't know how many ml(s) of ammonia a sinlge fish or a group of fish would excrete during a 24 hour period.I was adding 5ml of ammonia per day before the nitrite spike.

I've been wondering about that, how much ammonia fish produce.
