Puffer rubbing his body up against stuff.

Post by GsX827 »

My puffer keeps rubbing the side of his body against stuff in the tank, always his right side. He also let himself get sucked to the filter for a second, then he swims away (on his right side) Any suggestions?

I believe in another post you stated that your puffer had ick. Rubbing it's body is a sign of ick. Keep up the ick treatment here is a link for treatment library/hospital/swich. I believe you have your salinity at 1.010 brackish so someone please correct me if I have given the wrong link for the treatment. It stays in the system for at least 4 weeks even if the fish show no signs. Also getting that tank cycled will also help. Good luck.

Let's keep the thread about ich & lock this one, so posters advising you won't get confused.
