gsp's need help

Post by trofeo »

So i went to the Lfs today to pick up a few gsp's. I was shocked to see over 40 babies in freshwater fighting/dying. naturally i freak out and confront the manager about the care of the puff's. After a heated conversation i was asked to leave the store (big surprise).
I am wondering if anyone has ever has success reporting or enforcing proper care of these fish?

We have the RSPCA to turn to here in the UK, as well as the Ornamental Fish Association (aka Ornamental Aquatic Trade Association): do you guys have anything similar?
You could also try writing to any local trading standards organisations to complain about animal welfare, but also about how you were treated by the store staff.
Did our staff successfully help you? The Puffer Forum is an incredible resource and is run completely on the donations of its viewers. Proceeds from the Puffer Forum store go towards future contests and keeping the site running. We also welcome donations!
