I recently read on some web page that congo puffers won't eat snails. Is that true? Or can I also feed mine snails?
Thanks

Most puffers will eat snails if given the chance.
No matter how magnificent your successes or devastating your failures, the worlds' approximately 5 billion impoverished people could not possibly care less.

Re: SNails??
Thank-you for the info:) Are apple snails ok? My congo is 3.5 or 4 inches.
Re: SNails??
I just got a mystery snail for help with algae control, it rolled right past my buried Congo and he didn't even flinch, but his eyes were all over it. Several folks on here have opined that Congos, being specialized piscivores, generally ignore snails. In any event, even if he did hit an apple snail...a rotting snail that big wouldn't be good for your nitrifiers if you didn't get it out of the tank relatively soon.
