Intoduced my GSP to my marine

Post by jlo »

introduced my GSP's to my marine tank a week ago now there sharing it with two tank breed clowns and blue knuckeled hermit and a red legged
they are only 3 inches which i now is possibly a bit early but i didnt have nuch choice as their brackish tank was playing up filter lighting etc and they where already at 1.019 so i took it very slow hanging them in the marine tank toping there brackish water up with marine over several hours they seem to have already started a growing burst

they are loving it much more friendly / greedy i think after food and checking me out if i go anywhere near the tank have a look guys see what you think now the best pics they wont stay still long enough

Good move - they should be quite happy in full marine conditions.

Looks great! Maybe a few more decorations/rocks, to keep the peace between the fish, but they look beautiful.

Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

what size tank do you have them in? i'm still considering taking a chance with putting my single 3 inch gsp in with a clownfish in what will be his new 47 tall full marine tank. Do you have any fin nipping or severe fighting or stress going on with your puffers and the clown?

they are all in a 180l 40g (uk) corner unit no issues what so ever they all feed together with scattered feed ie blood worms brine shrimp etc and take turns with a prawn cockells etc.

they all go about their bussiness but it may not be the same for everyone what are your puffers like normally have you had them with anything else before as i know some people have had their GSP's dominate the tank and others be dominated

it very individual thing i think but just take sereval ours more than usual to transfer to gsp into the tank with a clear bag that way they can get use to the water change as well as their new tank mates as well as the current fish getting use to the gsp's

i took around seven to eight hours sightly topping up the water in the bag with the water from the new tank through that time the clowns would explore the bag slowly and then swim freely around it not bothered by the bag or the gsps

more than anything you will notice a massive change in your gsps colour energy behaviour etc they love it

Ok do you have your clowns hosting in any kind of coral and what kind do you have? I used to have my guy when he was younger in a overstocked 20 gallon freshwater community back before when I did not know that they were aggressive fish and he ended up killing everything in the tank. Now he's currently in the tank as highly brackish to marine by himself and he immeduatley attacks anything that enters the water. But I think he might be ok in a larger tank with only one other fish

False perculas and true perculas can both be tank-bred. The color makes me think more of a true percula.

In general, true percs are more of a yellow-orange, and false (ocellaris) are more of a red-orange.
