Tank Size Confusion

I need to purchase a tank for two GSPs. From previous posts and pufferpedia it looks like I’ll need a tank around the 55-60 US Gallon mark.
However, there seems to be a lot of variation in the way different manufacturers estimate the volume of their tanks.

I originally looked at at the Aqauone Royal 90. It’s a bow front aquarium that measures 90x42x70cms. However the spec says this in 190 litres – so too small.

However I have looked another aquarium measuring 91x45x60cms and the spec says 234 litres. But this tank has less height.

I’m confused can someone please help (I’d hate to buy a tank that was not suitable.

Ignore manufacturer quotes and use an online calculator to work out volume:

If you're away from a computer you can always go back to basic maths when calculating cm's and litre's:

(length(cm) x width(cm) x height(cm))/1000 = Volume in litres.

Just remember that what you see isn't always what you get; inevitably you will lose a bit due to the mass of the substrate and decorations, you'll probably not fill your tank to the top either.
