I just got 3 dwarf puffers and an account on this website!!

Mr. Green! Your back online! I dropped about 10 snails in my tank in little groups, each in all of my DP's territories. Bullet's got the left side of the stump, DJ on the right side of the tank, and Bug in the back. It's so funny though, because they all claimed about 3 snails in the territory, but when Bug is occupied by a snail, DJ will sneak over and take a strike at a one of Bug's snails! lol! I'm going to keep feeding them snails until I get the live/ frozen bloodworms. How much would they cost? I'm pretty broke, I spent $60 on my tank and every thing in it, $6 for the krill they don't eat, and $25 for the puffers and shrimp!

It would be really helpful if someone could post a pic of what an underfed DP looks like, a normal DP, and an overfed DP would look like.

That is funny that they have each claimed a section of the tank. I had Squirt for a while before I tried to introduce a 2nd dwarf in that tank. He was smaller. Squirt just decided the new fish was annoying and in his territory so it ended up that Squirt would chase the new one and try to bite his tail. So the new one went back to the lfs.

I don't know if yours will take to frozen blood worms, but mine LOVES the live ones. They wiggle, you know.

here is one of my skinny DPs (although he ate and is bigger now)

all 5 of mine liked the live black worms and frozen blood worms. My frozen blood worms were like $4-5

Welcome to TPF! I stumbled across puffer-ownership 3 months ago and I'm hooked. You get one and before you know it you're afflicted with MTS - multiple tank syndrome. It really is an addiction. Hehe..(mrgreen)

You are so right mrgreen ..... I started with one dwarf puffer, then had to get 4 more, and now ...... well I am up to 60 puffers now! I've only been keeping puffers since September of 2008 ... and it most certainly IS an addiction, but a very rewarding one at that.
