Tonight I was feeding Zoe a small piece of defrosted shrimp. I use extra long "tweezers" to put the food in the tank. She's only about 2" inches right now and I've only had her since Friday. I put the food by her and normally she goes right for it. Well she just lays there and I can't see her breathing. I gently nudge her with the tweezers and she doesn't respond. I nudge her again and still doesn't respond. I think "OMG, my baby has died"! So I gently start pushing her body to the surface of the tank with the tweezers and I'm getting upset. She gets about 3/4 of the way up and zooms off.
Next thing I see she's taken the shrimp to the back of the tank and chomped it down. She's now resting with her nose on the ground and her tail in the "air" because her tummy is so huge. I apparently over estimated how much I gave her, lol.

Aww! Bad Zoe!
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

could it be shes sleeping... one of my two DFs (cant identify m/f..just assume 1 m & 1 F) normally wakes up later than the other...i can still see her snugging at the bottom behind a rock whenever i give the morning feeds... after a few minutes then she wakes up..and suddenly do her sprints up-down left-right and comes right up to the bfast "table" when everybody else has already left... so she gets full attention and bfast all for herself!
so urs may need an alarm clock too!..hehe
