Emergency Help - Dwarf shocked- HELP!

1. Just retested params all 0
2. 14g - 4 dwarf puffers
3. Bloodworm fed at 5.45 pm daily, skipped Sundays, Prime used
4. Nothing
5. Tank set up 2.5 weeks before fish, fish now 3 weeks,, last two days have been all params at 0

OK, my puffs have never really liked lights out but they seemed to have learned what it is about. Tonight been worrying as big guy is really pale but eating well. When I turned lights out the other 3 went nuts, 2 were flitting and pacing. Piggy went really nuts and jumped the water at the top (thank goodness have a cover) and I was stunned. I decided to make sure she was ok and found her under the filter tucked with tail round next to a log. She was not moving at all...I placed my finger on the glass (light was on again at this point to see her) and she did not move. Panicking for sure, alex my partner held the filter out the way and I got my net out to try and see if she would move. She moved timidly a little and kept following the net as tried to release her back into the water. She is now under the log resting on the bottom, main guy is floating around as he usually does but pale and the others are hiding.

I think she either knocked herself out on the tank top, or more likely on the log...help! Light is off now, but what should I do? Leave till morning and pray that she is alright?

Also water temp is 24 degrees, I was really worried the params were not good and one of the males was pale.

Please somebody help. I really hope she has not done herself any damage

If you have some melafix plop in the recommended amount as it can have a relaxing effect on stressed fish, some use it when moving fish to a new tank to keep them calm, leva ethe lights off and perhaps give her time. test for an ammonia spike too with it being fresh move

they like it warm too im at 26 degrees, thats all i can think of

wouldnt worry about the pale colour mine change colour alot

I have been keeping it at 24 as last week and a half two weeks, the water kept heating up from 25 to 27/28 due to a mini heatwave we were having.

In the morning turn lights on as normal and maybe up the temperature a little bit? Params are still good.

She is still tail tucked under the log, two have gone to bed and one was flitting about at the top

Thanks for answering Carlos, definately had tears going there and hope she survives the night. I havent any Melafix but may see if the local fish store has any i can get in my lunchbreak..it is super tiny but hopeful..

I only worry about the male as he has been dark since I got him and last 2 days been very pale in comparision..

Paleness happens, mine changed when i bought another f8 as company. Melafix is wonderfull stuff, you can make your own if you have 100% pure teatree oil, 1% teatree to 99% distilled water. May be able to get some from your department store etc of the mix use 5ml for 50 litres.

Well, I am leaving the tank well alone and really hope she has not shocked herself too much and makes it till tomorrow. I will try everything tomorrow to get her something, but quite limited in my area, will post how she is in the morning.

Sorry i couldnt be more help but the fact that no-one else has replied tells me thats all you can do. Let her settle and tommorow try a wee drop of food and 3 days of melafix, costs about £6.

Let me know if shes ok tommorow will you? But they are really quite tough i think shell be fine.

Thank you, update tomorrow. Am going to try the mini store local,if not some tea tree 100% pure. If not I will get some first thing on saturday as matter of priority!

Mini Update this morning. She is OK! Fed them a little bit just to see if she had hurt herself and it doesn't appear so, still first to food and pretty fast

I will keep an hour on her and especially all of them tonight when its bedtime and see if this is the cause of jumpiness and try and figure something out here.

Melafix still on my shopping list if I can get some today just in case. Let you guys know if any changes

Excellent well happy for you. tonight what you could try is 2 pieces of cardboard, half an hour before lights out put on piece inside the hood to cover half the light then 15 minutes later do the other half then 15 minutes later switch off and remove cardboard. i have 2 tubes on my tank i switch one off first 10 mins later the other as mine tend to go ape at lights out.

or you could try pointing a lamp into the tank before turning tank lights off then cover the lamp beem bit by bit.

Thank you for asking! She has been absolutely fine and feel silly and can laugh about it now as it really does not seem to have affected her... she is still Piggy as ever, possibly more so and may have to cut on feeding for a bit
