I just finished my stand and lighting design for my tank. i have fresh water in there right now, but i am changing it to brackish. I bought a drip to acclimate it and started it last night. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how much to have the salinity in the tank for my f8 puffer.
here is some pictures of my tank i must say im pretty proud of it
I think the moss balls from petco are just java moss wrapped around styrofoam. Also, sorry to say the plants in the front corners are actually terrestrial plants (also from petco I assume) they last a while in water, but will die.
Here's a link on F8s and the SG ug.php/v/PufferPedia/Brackish/T_Biocellatus/
there are plants that do alright in that SG that you may want to look into. The moss balls should be fine and I think I saw java fern too that would be alright, but I'm not sure what the other plant is or whether it can handle the salt.
This tank does look very good though
