Diddy update

Post by Archaeopath »

Sorry, you must all be sick of hearing of this puffer by now  Just wanted to let you know the water seems to be improving. Not counting any chickens yet, but ammonia's down and nitrate's up so it looks like it's getting a little better. Diddy's also stopped the frantic pacing and for the first time actually explored the tank properly today, so I guess he's relaxing now the water's improving. :D

Good to hear. Though the nitrate should also be going down eventually. Keep up the water changes ;-)

Yeah, water changes are still go! :D Ammonia's now .25 instead of .5, and nitrate's now 5 instead of 0 - hence I'm over the moon the nitrate's actually up at all. There's a chance the nitrite's down too, but the testing kits aren't accurate enough to show it properly (I hate colour change kits).

It all seems the tank's missing a number of snails, so I've got one fat little puffer, who's currently playing in the bubbles.
