Guys possibly another daft question but i have just set up an external fiilter on my tank and i am running it alongside the internal one to maintain the bacteria in the tank and will remove the internal once i beleive the bacteria in the external filter is present

I know i have done this baclwards and should of asked before i set it up but i got so excited when it came in the post today i just had set it up and get it running

You did right. Anytime I change a filter I run both together for at least a month before removing the old one. :wink:

Thats good i thought it couldnt really be anymore straight forward but i thought i better check tho

as i am looking to get some GSP shortly when the LFS has them in

all tho i should have my new tank up and cycled by then

To be extra cautious you could add some of the old filter media into the new cannister
