New Puffer... ICH??

Ok so I got another puffer from Wal-Mart, the biggest and brightest looking one. Put him in a quarantine tank to find that he has WORMS AND ICH. My other puffer went through the whole worm rigamaroo so I already have the medication for that but ich is new to me. I read the article in the library concerning ich and it says to add "salt." I am assuming this is aquarium salt? Just wanted to make sure.

After a week or so in the quarantine tank with adding the salt I plan to treat him with Melafix. Does this sound Ok?

I know im new here but i have done alot of research and melafix is a pretty widely used remedy for puffers for fin trouble etc so i would say it should be fine if instructions are followed properly. Second opinion would be handy though, i am a very experienced fish keeper but puffers havent been with me for very long.

I'm currently treating my MBU for ich. The article in the library is quite informative, I'd take a gander at it, if I were you.

my f8s had ich and i used ich guard 2 for scaleless fish and it cleared them right up.

Only use medications as a last resort with puffers, salt and heat is much more safe for them.
