DP owners please help w feeding

Post by kelsi.nikoel »

I have 3 DPs and I am afraid that they are not eating properly. I do not think they have IPs but their bellies are flat all the time. I feed them thawed bloodworms and brine shrimp, but they never seem very interested. I have tried shrimp but they did not touch it, they do attack snails though. So, I was wondering what kind of foods your DPs like?

My DP doesn't like brine shrimp, but will eat frozen and dried blood worms. I used to have a bunch of newly hatched ramshorns in the tank, but now there isn't any so I am sure they were eaten.

For the blood worms, initially my DP didn't eat them and they became amano shrimp food. So, I held a single blood worm with tweezers in the current to simulate it being live and she ate it. Same with the dried blood worms. Now she will eat on her own.

I have four and for the first 3 days fed live bloodworm in a feeder, since then I feed thawed bloodworm, my youngest male used to be really uninterested but by being back at work and changing my feeding time for them slightly they all feed happily now most the time!

Hope to try snails soon, have also read amongst the forums black worms are a favourite.

Mine would only eat live blackworms, live shrimp and live snails *sigh*. I spoiled them.

Mine eat frozen bloodworms and live blackworms, and live snails when I can get them. I also try peas on them every so often, with little success.

Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

The peas should be fed no more than once a week, as a digestive aid.

Holidays lasting more than a few days... I'd get a pet-sitter. ;)
