ARIK = Black dogface (named after black labrador retriever KIRA)

Dophie = saddle valentini (named after deceased king charles spaniel, Sophie . i caugt Sophie once smelling her poop and recently caught the puffer checking out his (after he made it)...so a rhyme of Sophie DOPHIE

i know this is very unoriginal but my GSP's name is puffdaddy =P

I dont name many of my other fish, although my 20" Peacock bass is the big bay, my 10" bass is called Mr. Peacock, lungfish is called lungy etc...

My 2 F8's are Asagi (light brown) and Ohan (yellow spot). Named in JPN because I couldn't think of any non-boring non-gender specific english names for them. Collectively, they're called the Poofers or Little Puffs.
The BF likes to call them Jigglypuff. @_@

my dwarf puffers are called sugar, hamish + diddy, and my 2 sap's are called shaun + paddy :D

My two F8's are Eight-Ball and Pirate. Kids named them.

I think Pirate's a great name, actually. And Eight-Ball has a real ring to it. :)

I have two F8's. Piglet and Blinky. Blinky was the easy one to name. It jumped over the tank divider LFS and got mauled by a larger GSP, losing an eye in the ordeal. "Piglet" took a little to while to come up with, not sure why, we've all seen the way they eat and they are quite piggy about it. But the name popped in my head while it stalked me from the tank, waiting/begging to be fed and I knew immediately that's what it was meant to be called.
