Well the other one seems fine so it must have been something with that fish...my LFS is going to replace him...hopefully that oen will be fine too...

Sorry to hear about your loss mate.

I don't think it will have been the PH difference, especially with the length of time you took to acclimatise them. I think that sometimes the stress of shifting them can be a problem which any weaker fish may succomb to. I turn my lights of for a couple of days whenever I have a new arrival as I think animals prefer lower light when they are stressed or frightened.

Were they getting along Ok?

Ya they were getting along just fine, they actually hung out together alot. The one that died was the smaller of the two. I went to my LFS where I bought them and they are going to rplace him...soo I will get my new one on thursday...hopefully this one will take the stress better...

I am going to try the lights out thing...it makes sense that lowerlight would be easier on them...

When you get the new one, take the existing one out if the tank and then re-arrange the tank. When you put both in the tank there shouldn't be any territory issues then.

I was actually worrying about that...if the one I had left was going to kick the crap out of the new one...I will do as directed and hopefully we wont have any bloodletting upon introduction!
