Is a Dwarf Puffer too aggressive?

Do you think a DP/DP's would be to aggressive/territorial for 2 guppies, 1 pricella tetra, 2 yellow mystery snails, a catfish, and 2 dwarf frogs. Also I live in Wisconsin, i'm wondering if they would even be available. Thank You!!

They are widely available.. Hoffer's.. Aquatics Unlimited.. they both have them, if you're in the Milwaukee area..

As far as how aggressive they'd be... depends on the puffs. I'd have to say that they'll pester the mystery snails until they won't come out anymore and die off. They might be fin nippers for the other fish, but that's going to depend on the puffs, how big the tank is.. and decor.

I agree, I have a friend that keeps dwarfs in a community tank with no problem. She also has mystery snails, tetra's and dwarf african frogs in the tank. The puffs did pick on the snail but the snail has not retreated and died. After a while they started to ignore the snail. On the other hand I know someone that purchased a couple of dwarf puffer's and had to return them a few days later. They were bad fin nippers in his community tank. It really just depends on the puffer's attitude.

As long as they have enough space to claim their terratories, they should do okay. However, keep a *very* close eye on the guppies' tales (I'm guessing they're male fancies?) and any barbels the catfish might have.

They might not work with fancy guppies, but regular types would be okay (tail nipping).

I'd be worried they'd harass the frogs, nip them to death. Otherwise they'd probably be okay.
