Yep, but the airstone moved them around quite a bit.
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

Congratulations on the hatched puffer babies! They are so adorable! Good job separating them from the parents!
As for brine shrimp, hatching them is usually easy, but keeping them alive is a little tricky. In any case, you could always pay $4 to get a bag of it from the LFS when you need to. Good luck with all the new lives and keep us posted! It's so exciting!

I hope so (fingers crossed) since i already lost a fair few due to my damn bringe shrimp eggs not hatching in time due to bad instructions

Yeah, as i mentioned above my brine shrimp hatchery didn't work out, so i had to resort to using frozen 0 day old brine shrimp that i got at the LFS before work this morning to TRY and hopefully get them to eat something till i can check to see if this other store has live brine shrimp for sale although its doubtful :pout:

Good news is that i will be getting a new order of brine shrimp eggs from my trusted LFS on thursday, so hopefully it will work out some how...
Bogwoodbruce wrote:Good to see that you've saved some young. Wishing you the best of luck!
Yeah, i've been saving as many of the young as i can in the tank, although if i'm not mistaken, i think Marge might be pregnant again??? although i'm not too sure how to feel about that :goodevil:

Ummmm... they have now been moved into a bigger tank, coz the small one was getting toxic way too quickly, so basically the current isn't as strong right now... is that a bad thing, if so i guess i can always add a bigger HOB filter if needed for the current???

Thanks, and yeah, every one tells me that hatching the Brine shrimp are easy, and i believe it would be if only the damn instructions it came with were more clear... since it basically was implying that you needed 40 - 50G of Brine shrimp to 1L of water??? which sounded a bit crazy to me since the box only had 100G inside??? but yeah, as i mentioned above, now i just have to find a place that sells live brine shrimp near me until i can get the new eggs for a 2nd attempt at this...
julianchan wrote:Nice! Now you are a dad, you can kiss those long party nights goodbye......
Tell me about it... i went out on Saturday night and got completely wasted, needless to say doing water changes and trying to sort out the tanks was not much fun... especially being seriously hung-over and dehydrated...

puffertt77 wrote: BTW I've read that people that breed Betta's/Sieamese Fighters take the yolk out of a boiled egg and then put it in a spray bottle (see pic below) with tank water and shake it up. Then you jusy spray the egg solution onto the water surface and the egg yourk powder is so fine/small that the baby larve can eat it. I'm sure this should work for Puffer Larve

Edit
I just realised you're not asking about feeding your Puffer Larve
Okay, so i just jacked this extract from another thread on here (hope you don't mind puffertt77) and was wondering, has any one tried this trick before??? and does it work at all or does it not work with puffer fry???

No worries Homer, I think I was actually thinking of you when I wrote it anyweay (see edit)

If it works for Betta Fry I cannot see why it wouldn't work for puffer fry. It might degrade the water quickly though!

^ I was thinking about that not long after i posted, since the last thing any fish keeper wants is water that smells like rotten eggs :yuck: but on the up-side... i "think" the fry have been eating the frozen brine shrimp i picked up for them today so hopefully i'm not just imagining things and they are actually eating... Then that got me thinking, does any one know roughly how long it takes for palembang/suvatii fry to develop into the size of say something like half the size of an adult dwarf puffer???

Puffertt77 was asking about brine shrimp eggs. I've never had puffer eggs on my hands. :)
