Read this before posting!!
Since this board has been up, we have found there are several questions that routinely get asked in order to help diagnose problems. If you can have that information to begin with in your post, we'll be able to help right away (if we can!) without having to wait for you to post the info we need.
1) Your water parameters - pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrates and salinity (if appropriate). This is by far the most important information you can provide! Do not answer this with "Fine" "Perfect" "ok", that tells us nothing. We need hard numbers.
2) Tank size and a list of ALL inhabitants. Include algae eaters, plecos, everything. We need to know what you have and how big the tank is.
3) Feeding, water change schedule and a list of all products you are using or have added to the tank (examples: Cycle, Amquel, salt, etc)
4) What changes you've made in the tank in the last week or so. Sometimes its the little things that make all the difference.
5) How long the aquarium has been set up, and how did you cycle it? If you don't know what cycling is read this: Fishless Cycling Article and familiarize yourself with all the information. Yes. All of it.
We want to help, and providing this information will go a LONG way to getting a diagnosis and hopeful cure that much faster.
While you wait for assistance:
One of the easiest and best ways to help your fish feel better is clean water! If you are already on a regular water change schedule (50% weekly is recommended) a good step to making your fish more comfortable while waiting for diagnosis/suggestions is to do a large water change immediately. Feel free to repeat daily or as often as you can, clean water is always a good thing! Use of Amquel or Prime as a dechlor may help with any ammonia or nitrite issues, and is highly recommended.
Note - if you do not normally do large water changes, doing a sudden, large water change could shock your fish by suddenly changing their established water chemistry. Clean water is still your first goal, so in this case, do several smaller (10%) water changes over the next day or two before starting any large ones.

Re: Ich & IP?
It's possbile that if you overfeed then they will pooh undigested food. But they way you explain the pooh it still sounds like ip's. Do a search on here for gel-tek ultra cure px, I posted some links just a few days ago but I don't remember which post I put them in. I'll try to find it and link you to it. There are a few places that are starting to get it again.

Re: Ich & IP?
Nah. You're not nuts!
He pooped a little more and I got my camera to get a picture of it but it just so happens that my camera battery is drained.
I'm charging it right now and I'll get that picture up. I think I'll treat him just incase as soon as my tank settles a little more. I'll definitely look for the gel-tek stuff. I think I might head to an lfs tonight so I'll check if they have any. Thanks again!

The 2nd one is what I think of as normal. Is that correct?

Re: Ich & IP?
It's looking better but I would still treat. To me it still looks like some signs of IP's. You can wait, it's not a rush but I would still do another treatment. Try to find the gel-tek use it for 3-5 days and keep it on hand. It's so much better to use than the other meds.

Re: Ich & IP?
Sorry for the delayed reply again! I've been soo busy!
I just started treating Puffy with PraziPro last night. He doesn't seem to like it much. From my understanding, I treat him for a week and I add a dose every couple of days? How often should I do water changes? Thanks! <3

Re: Ich & IP?
Oh yay! Puffy was refusing the shrimp I tried to feed him this morning soaked in PraziPro and Entice but he just ate the mussel I soaked in the same stuff! I added a bit more of Entice to the mix and it seemed to do the trick. For the shrimp, he'd try taking bites of it but spit it back out immediately. I fed him a big meal yesterday incase he didnt eat after I started the treatment but I'm really glad he's eating the mussel. Yay!
On the side note, what do overgrown teeth look like? Puffy's teeth look a tad longer than usual. I do keep up on feeding him crunchy food. I'm just wondering what it looks like.

Re: Ich & IP?
That's great news! Just remember with prazipro he may start to refuse food that's normal. I think I did a large water change after the 2nd day. I treated with prazipro for 5 days. I can't remember excatly but I would just follow the directions on the bottle.

Re: Ich & IP?
Yeah, he definitely doesn't have as big of an appetite as usual. I dont think he's feeling too well either. He's been a little slow and just hanging around the bottom of the tank. (Probably cas of all those nasties dying in the poor little guy.) The directions say to just add the correct dose and that if I want, I can add another in 3 or so days but that it should last for 5. It doesn't mention anything about water changes other than to do a big one before starting the treatment which I did.
Hopefully his poo will start looking better!!!

Re: Ich & IP?
I checked up on Puffy last night and he seemed a tad better. I could definitely see why he wasn't feeling so well though! He had pooed a massive glob of white stuff (gross!) and was still working on getting even more out of him. He's even better this morning, he's swimming around as usual and he ate another piece of mussel soaked in PraziPro and Entice happily. He had managed to get more of that stuff out of him and I pulled it out of the tank. I'll keep up on the treatment even though he seems better just to make sure I get everything out and dont create superworms. I'm glad things are finally shaping up! And to top it off, here's another gross picture of his poo.

Thanks again, edmlfc1, you've been AMAZING!

Re: Ich & IP?
Yay!!
Super stoked! Hehe. He seems soo much better! He's a lot more active and seems a lot happier. I thought he was supposed to grow faster than he is but maybe now that the wormy is dealt with, he will! I'm so happy.
Thanks again! You're AWESOME x 346987236.

Re: Ich & IP?
Very glad to hear it's working out.
Annabelle had a growth spurt after she passed the worms. She ate like a pig. You did good my friend.
Keep it up, you and your puffer will have a long happy life together.
