how much marine salt?

Post by underdog5004 »

I'm curious, how much marine salt per gallon (or 10 gallons) should I add to get +.001 SG?

I found a rough estimate is; a cup of marine salt added to 5g of water will raise the SG around .005. You do the math.

Glad to know that. I was going to be asking that soon!

Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

Excellent. Thank you for that equation, I'll be able to take it from there.
I'm finding that while puffers are kind of a niche fish, but the community that has sprung up around them is friendlier than the mainstream fish forums (don't tell 'em I said that) :)
