Take it from a writing tutor: punctuation is your friend. :)
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

LOL are you having trouble uploading pix lilgirlkat? :D

If it's 180usG Lilgirlkat then it measures 6ftx2ftx2ft or 72inchesx24inchesx24inches

$1000 still seems a lot to me, I wonder what the other guys from the US think about the price?!

I don't even know what I'm looking for, other than a big tank.

Are canister filters the way to go? or can I just use a sump or do I need a sump and filters and.. ugh.

To be honest you'd be fine with the external filter canisters, you can always add a sump if you want in ther future

$600 sounds like a better price to me for what you're getting, if you do get it from this guy and he's still got the tank running then you wont have to cycle the tank which is a bonus :D You'll just have to make sure you keep the aquarium water in the filters for the journey home so that the bacteria doesn't die. It's also a good idea to leave enough water in the tank to just cover the gravel as it will also be full of the good bacteria.

Ask the guy to give you the exact names for all the external filters, then you can google them and see how good they are and how much they cost new

Also this guy sounds desperate so offer him something like $480 cash if you have it and say you'll be able to pick it up the next day, he might go for it. At least try and get it for $550. One thing I did when I got my tank was to say to the guy selling it that I needed to hire a van and try and get him to knock some money off that way to go towards the hire of the van

I am curious as I know very little about the MBU but realistically how long is this guy good for in a 150 gallon tank??

^ So with that being said, i guess that means if you got an MBU as a youngin' (growing roughly an inch a month for 1st year) you could keep him for roughly a 1.5yr or so before he'd have to be moved out of a 180G and into something bigger?
