Well,he's great
He's feeding well,I'm hand feeding him so we are really getting to know each other and the smaller fish in the tank wait round his mouth for any bits of prawn,mussel or whatever,so everyone's happy.
He's definitely filling out too,he was a bit skinny in the shop and had a slight kink just before his tail,but there's no sign of that now and he's lovely and rotund (but not too much!)
He is absolutely fine with his tankmates and seems to really enjoy having room to move around and investigate.
I've been monitoring the water conditions closely and they have remained stable so the filtration is coping well,it's a large sump 6'x2'x18" powered by 2 powerful pumps,but I think I'm still going to add a canister as well,bit of a 'belt and braces' situation.
The only problem I have is getting a decent photo of him as he tries to jump out of the tank anticipating food everytime he's sees me near
