Goldfish actually make for veyr bad feeders, cant remember what it is but somthing inside of them actually hinders vitamin intake and growth. I need to have a read up and find out what it is.

What I was getting at is the need to feed fish on occasion, not goldfish in particular, I didn't make that clear at all. :redface: I read a lot that says puffers and other predatory should be fed absolutely no feeder fish of any kind. Although they may not be the best thing for them (bacon, pork chops, and anything deep fried anyone?), as an occasional treat I feel they are OK if you have raised them yourself. These fish are natural predators and need to have their hunting/killing instincts met to remain happy. Think of a bird of prey that is kept captive. The owners give them the best diet they can but they still have to let them hunt often to keep them happy or the birds life span goes way down.
