Hello everybody.
Is there any problem to F8s maintaining, with bicarbonates, a high alkalinity (above 20ºdH) in a low-end brackish planted tank ( max. 5mg/L of salt) to avoid the excessive acidity of the water caused by CO2? The PH for F8s is supposed to be kept around 8, am I right?

Best way to keep a steady pH & alk, you should use crushed coral or aragonite sand for substrate.

Yeah, those sands help a lot to keep alkalinity since the solubility is ph dependet as Richard said in the thread I mentioned below.
What I'd really like to know is if I keep KH = 14-15 (to avoid acidity caused by CO2) could harm the F8s. I was looking for the subject in the forum and I found a old thread where RTR said:
"I'll disagree w/Neale here - Fish don't read pH, they read TDS/osmolarity. Changing the pH by CO2 injection does not adversely affect any fish, because it has no detectable direct effect on osmolarity. What it will do is speed the solution of the aragonite (solubility is pH dependent), so boost the TDS and alkalinity of the light BW setup in which it is used. That shift is likely to be beneficial to the fish, but on the plants I am unsure."

Well, if the ph changed by CO2 doesn't affect the fish, could I keep it at 7,3-7,5 and GH = 14 and KH = 14-15, since the TDS is the most important factor?
By the way, I placed a layer of aragonite above the fertil layer and under the inert sand, like this:
