Congo and big trapdoor snails...opinions, please.

I know Congos are known as piscivorous...but does anyone really believe they won't hit a big fleshy snail??? I think a snail would help keep the sand stirred and obviously algae down. I just saw schismy007's post about suvatti not harming snails...maybe it would work with a Congo too? Ecologically...I'd say they're very similar. I guess that doesn't mean anything...but it's something.

Here is the tank...just planted it yesterday...and the gel superglue for the plants worked like a freakin charm (thanks Pufferpunk).

Not really, except for maybe a slightly bigger piece of granite for the left side. This tank is designed to showcase the substrata predation of Tetraodon miurus. In a year, the right side of the tank will me much lusher as it grows in (it was planted yesterday). The open side of the tank will hopefully be used by the puffer to bury and hunt. The process of burying themselves is somewhat violent too, and requires a little room.

As a dart frog hobbyist that messes with natural vivaria a lot, one thing I have learned is that a heavily planted tank at the onset quickly becomes a pruning nightmare with little room for the plants to mature. Also, the main piece of driftwood is majestic, in my opinion, and I didn't want to detract from it too much.

I hear you there. I have to trim the Palu back a bit from time to time... I was thinking more along the lines of a cave or something. I think I remember hearing they like caves.
