just bought a tetraodon suvattii today and damnit i love it! been craving to get the beauty since the first day i saw it at my local fish store(week ago or so)
i have it in a 20g tank. hope thats okay, at least for now.
couldnt get a better shot because my camera was running low on batt and the puffer was always on the move. will post better pics later.
a n00b question: my puffer is swimming like crazy, up and down, up and down. thats normal right? im assuming(hoping) he's just in a good mood?
anywho, kickass forum and a good sticky post by pufferpunk on the arrowhead.

Is it just the photo or does you water seem cloudy?
I dont have much experience with T. Suvatti but from what i read they primarily just lay around. It will probably calm down once it gets used to the tank.

Perhaps the tank is also cloudy because there was fresh water added. It seems the extra air from pressurized tap water is precipitating out on the fake plants. That would be another reason why the tank seems a bit cloudy.

Good call.
Also it could be due to the lack of rinsing gravel (I bet you rinsed it though.)
Nice puff and hope he brings you years of enlightenment.

yeah thats it.
its not because of bad rinsing. i rinsed the sand for prolly a <censored> hour before i put it in.
hehe yeah regarding the mug, it was the only "hiding spot" i could find for him. its prolly just temporary.
doesnt look like he needs a hiding spot though, he swims like crazy all over the tank. looks very happy.
