Can you keep Starfish with Marine Puffer?

I have a stars and stripes puffer, two chocolate chip starfish, two sand sifting star fishes, one horseshoe crab, and some polyp coral that I just "inherited" on my live rock . My puffer has never bothered any of my star fish, my chocolate have not bothered the coral. Like I said I did not mean to get it it just came on the rock and spawned and kind of took over two rocks I have in the tank. Archie ( my puffer has not bothered the coral either). I am not saying he wont but as of about six months everyone is surviving. Those stars really help as the puffers are terribly messy eaters, kind of like toddlers they drop more than they eat . I also have several horseshoe crabs and about 10 turbo snails, the large ones. Archie ate the small ones but leaves the large ones alone..

I have many stars & I really like them all. Great maid service! No sand-stirring creatures if you are keeping a DSB.

DSB = Deep Sand Bed
Usually 4" or deeper, some people have 7" deep.

My sand is about 3inches, why is it not a good idea to have sand stiring creatures with DSB?
