already goofed
Well, I have already made several bloopers in this new hobby. I added aquarium salt to the 14 gallon I am keeping 2 figure 8 puffers in. I know it should be a bigger tank from reading unfortunately after the fact. My puffers are an inch big at this time. I have fed them dried shrimp which they loved and have ordered some snails for them.

You really need to get a larger tank set up. Read the articles in our library about F8s. Also, don't feed them dreid shrimp. Try giving them frozen, thawed, raw shrimp with the shell on.

What's wrong with dried shrimp? I feed FD plankton to all my fish.

I think it depends on the dried shrimp. Whenever I hear a new person using it, I always think of the things that are used in Thai food, and the ones I've seen have flavoring on them. =\
