F8 Puffer Fish Feeding techniques??

Post by mavalos01 »

So I have a F8 Puffer that is about an inch and a half and I don't exactly know what its capable of eating at its small size. I currently give a Thawed (previously frozen) shrimp but it just seems to pass on by it as if it is uninterested in it. I added a snail that it picks at for a few seconds and just leaves it alone..So what can i give it and how can i give it to make it eat up...I don't want it to starve.

I hold in a regular sized shrimp and let my little f8 eat off of it until he's full. Of course you have to watch them because they'll stuff themselves. Their bellies will bulge and that way you can tell that it's had enough. Also I sometimes put a butter clam in and take it out when my f8s full. I would also try bloodworms. You can get them in frozen cubes or sheets at your local fish store. :)
The only thing you should eat that smiles are goldfish crackers.

Mine like mysis shrimp, frozen (& thawed/drained) or freeze-dried--also plankton. In addition to live/frozen/FD blackworms.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...
