Re: 100% water change
Ive done just about all that I can for him while hes in this 5 gal, guys. Now all he wasnt to do is sit at the bottom and pant. he doesent have the energy to do anything but barely move his fins. He lets the water take him wherever, he usually swims around vertical with his tail in the air, and hes got two little bitty lumps around hs tail on his belly. I dont know what the HECK to do, guys. I fear a may come home this afternoon and he'll be gone, and I really dont want that.

Re: 100% water change
I have a graduate degree in theology. My education and personal experience is that God hears our prayers, but he also expects us to do our part, as much as is possible. I for one will help pray for him, as you ask, but the majority of my prayer will be that God helps you find a nice big tank for him.buddysrider wrote:Pray for him with me, guys.

I hate to be so blunt, but yes, you will come home to a dead fish soon. As stated before that tank is too small for him. It would be much better to go by the family dollar buy a plastic 20-30 gallon tub for a few bucks throw in a sponge filter and keep him in that. Not the best looking tank but it's better than killing him in a 5 gallon. I wish you luck with your puffer.

Re: 100% water change
I know how it is, I'm poor too (I'm not kidding, I really am) so I know how it is. But there's always a way. The tub idea is a great one, wish I'd thought of it...although you'd think I would have, being as it is that my breeder mice (I have a baby ball python) are in a Rubbermaid tub with holes punched in it.

You can get a 20-30 gallon tub for around $10 or less, depends on the store. You can get one at Family Dollar, Dollar Store, Wal-Mart etc.
I managed to find one at Wal-Mart for $5 a few months ago. I haven't looked at them in a while but I'm sure you can find one.

I believe the puffer in question has died.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...
