Hey Big Mbu owners
How long has it taken for your Mbu's to get to their current large state?
I know they're suppose to grow an inch per month for the first 12 months but does it slow down after that?
Old fish I'm sure you may've mentioned this before in another thread so excuse me if you're answering the same question
I'd like to know how long it took from say 12inches to 15 then 18 and so on
Also it would be handy to know how quickly their gurths grew to
Thanks Guys

It all matters with the puffer, and what size tank they start in.

Two F8's, two tiny fantails and a pleco call me mommy.

the growth of your puffer will depend on amount of food you give it and it's genetics. That "inch a month" rule hasn't applied to either of my fahakas or my mbu, but maybe it will for your puffer?

The factors that determine growth are genetics, food amount and quality, water temperature, water quality, exercise and lack of stress........When Ziggy was smaller she grew 1" per month for several months. But now with fewer feedings and her larger size her growth has slowed.I would guess Ziggy is 2+years old and it will take 3-6 more years to reach 24+.

Thanks guys
Naboo's certainly eating well and it's all good food, plus I soak it in vitamines
He's still 3.5inches including his tail but he's alot rounder than he was when I first got him, to be honest I think he may have been 2.5inches/3inches when I got him as I looked at the video I posted on Youtube and in that he's only just longer than the guppy's!
He'll defenatly be out of the 55uk gallon tank way before he reaches 12inches, even If I have to get a bigger tank before I build the 1200ukG for him
Thanks again
