I'm not sure but I think Naboo may have IP?!

Since this board has been up, we have found there are several questions that routinely get asked in order to help diagnose problems. If you can have that information to begin with in your post, we'll be able to help right away (if we can!) without having to wait for you to post the info we need.
1) Your water parameters - pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrates and salinity (if appropriate). This is by far the most important information you can provide! Do not answer this with "Fine" "Perfect" "ok", that tells us nothing. We need hard numbers.
2) Tank size and a list of ALL inhabitants. Include algae eaters, plecos, everything. We need to know what you have and how big the tank is.
3) Feeding, water change schedule and a list of all products you are using or have added to the tank (examples: Cycle, Amquel, salt, etc)
4) What changes you've made in the tank in the last week or so. Sometimes its the little things that make all the difference.
5) How long the aquarium has been set up, and how did you cycle it? If you don't know what cycling is read this: Fishless Cycling Article and familiarize yourself with all the information. Yes. All of it.
We want to help, and providing this information will go a LONG way to getting a diagnosis and hopeful cure that much faster.
While you wait for assistance:
One of the easiest and best ways to help your fish feel better is clean water! If you are already on a regular water change schedule (50% weekly is recommended) a good step to making your fish more comfortable while waiting for diagnosis/suggestions is to do a large water change immediately. Feel free to repeat daily or as often as you can, clean water is always a good thing! Use of Amquel or Prime as a dechlor may help with any ammonia or nitrite issues, and is highly recommended.
Note - if you do not normally do large water changes, doing a sudden, large water change could shock your fish by suddenly changing their established water chemistry. Clean water is still your first goal, so in this case, do several smaller (10%) water changes over the next day or two before starting any large ones.

I'm not sure but I think Naboo may have IP?!
I've just seen Naboo taking a poo and it's a yellow/beige colour, normally his poo is brown/black
He's been rely interactive lately and is loving his food, I've spoilt him a bit with king prawns etc and he's been hand feeding
Here's some pix of it
I think the flash may've made it look a bit whiter, or I'm just in denial
What do you think?

Re: I'm not sure but I think Naboo may have IP?!
On puffers I've had in the past that turned out to have IPs, this is how it started out. You see a little yellowish-white ball attached by a pale string, then later you see longer and whiter thin strings of poo, and it seems like about this time they start losing their appetite - and once things get to this point, you'll be fighting an uphill battle. I would treat for IPs immediately.

Re: I'm not sure but I think Naboo may have IP?!
Nooo
I had a really bad feeling it was
I've just been to the lfs and they recomended Interpet Anti Internal Bacteria, I explained to them about the white poo and to be honest I don't think they really knew what I was on about. While I was there I also picked up Interpet Anti Crustacean Parasite. Below is a link to what the meds look like
Interpet Anti Internal Bacteria
Description:
Internal systemic bacterial infections (pseudomonas, aeromonas, vibrio bacteria sp.) are a common cause of death in aquarium fish, previously only treatable with veterinary prescribed antibiotics. Anti Internal Bacteria is a breakthrough product, on general sale, which halts the progress of bacterial problems and prevents them spreading. For use with coldwater and tropical fish in marine or freshwater systems: Effective new active ingredients Does not colour the aquarium water Harmless to filters and all species of fish and plants Contents: 100ml Anti Internal Bacteria Pipette Measuring Cap Guide to Fish Health Treats 500 litres (e.g. aquarium 5ft x 2ft x 2ft)
http://discountedaquatics.co.uk/interpe ... -206-p.asp
This doesn't sound like it's for IP to me
Interpet Anti Crustacean Parasite
Description
A unique powerful treatment for the eradication of higher parasites in aquariums e.g. Anchor Worm, Lernea sp., Fish Lice, Argulus sp., Gill Maggots, Ergasilus sp. and Fish Leeches, Psiciola sp.
http://www.petstuffgalore.co.uk/fish-pr ... 100ml.html
I'm not sure if this will work either, plus it warns on the box to be absolutly sure that their suffering with any of these simptoms as this medicationnegativley affects biological filteration and damages plants

You need something with both metronidazole and praziquantel. Jungle Labs Parasite Clear fizz tabs work well, as does Gel-Tek Ultra Cure PX (you soak their food in this one). Good luck!

Re: I'm not sure but I think Naboo may have IP?!
Ive just been to my lfs again and the only stuff I could find is Waterlife Sterazin, Controls Gill and Body flukes which cause flicking also treats internal worms
I've just added 10ml to the tank for 250 litres, it's a dark green liquid
Do you think I should also soak Naboos food in it or do you think it maybe to strong to do that?

Re: I'm not sure but I think Naboo may have IP?!
Naboo's eating the green king prawn
I'm now soaking the frozen blood worm, frozen small krill and king prawn in 10 ml of the medication, this way I can just pour the soaked food into the tank and the tanks got the right doesage of meds at the same time

Active ingredients are not listed anywhere. Not on the net or on the package from the post I've been reading.
Here is the website: http://www.waterlife.co.uk/seaquariums/sterazin.htm
I did find this if you ever need it:

I've just fed Naboo some more green prawn and he got a few good mouthfuls of it although I don't think he likes it so much
Hopefully what ever's inside him will now start to eat the medicated prawn and kill it
I also soaked the blood worms and krill in it and he's wolfing them down so that's good
Also all the other fish including Bollo are eating them and the prawn so hopefully if any of the others have trouble it'll cure them to

Re: I'm not sure but I think Naboo may have IP?!
I've been treating the tank and soaking Naboo's food with meds for the last couple of days and in that time I haven't seen him poo since
He must have but I just haven't seen it to tell if it's still yellow/white
He's still loving his food and has had 2 very fat bellies since I started treating him
I was thinking even if the worms/parasites inside him were eating the food he'd still be as fat as they'd then have the food inside them
Is it possible for him to be treated and recover in say 1 week?
Will he poo out all the worms at some point?
Thanks again

Re: I'm not sure but I think Naboo may have IP?!
Depending on the severity of the infection, he may poo whole worms if it's heavy, but if only lightly infected with anything, he might digest them or cast them off inside normal poos. Most treated puffers recover in a week or so, but depending on the kind of infection, additional treatments may be helpful to prevent reinfection.
