my miurus is crazy!

Post by lisalisa »

Hey guys..I was just siphoning some water from my T. Miurus tank when he attacked my siphon hose, and cracked it! Remind me to never stick my hands in there with out him cornered off!

I really suck at aquarium photography, but I can try. I took out my digital camera, so I can give it a go!

I thought miurus' werent suppost to be that aggresive? But then again each puffer is different.

Just wondering, how big is he?

I doubt its aggression. All my larger puffs go for my siphon cause I kinda fall into their begging techniques.... But yeah, I bet he just saw it as 'Ooo something moving in the water, wonder what it tasts like?...'

I think it's because it's clear plastic, which is similar to the plastic peice I use to feed. It was nuts though!

Perhaps you sucked up a shell of a deceased snail or a small rock and he thought it was fresh food?

He doesn't eat snails, but probably thought it was chow time!

Movement near the tank is the signal for all pufs to go to 'SOMEBODY FEED ME!!!' mode...

It was weird because he usually just stares at me through the sand with his little beady eyes.
