That depends.
It has been suggested that they are very slow growers (2 cm. pr. year), but in my experience it depends on the size of the tank.
One specimen I kept had a substantial jump in growth when I moved him into a 660 ltr. tank.
An educated guess would be (around) 6-10 years before max size is achieved.
