I am now pregnant and need the space where the puffers are. (babyroom)
I will keep the big aquarium(240l.)with the salivators because thats in the livingroom. The salivator is all alone now.
The love for my puffer is huge and I don't want to give them away
I don't know what to do with my big Killer but I wonder if there's any way that I can try to have the three irrubesco females with the salivators??
Salivators are more agressive then irrubesco. How many salivators in the tank? ALso the Salivator already claim that tank as their home if you put irrubesco in there im pretty sure your salivators will give your irrubesco a hard time least for awhile.
My Puffers: 1x GSP (Bolla), 1x m. something. Bought as a leiurus, maybe a turgidus (Tiger), 1x c. irrubesco (Tott(a) aka Houdini) 1x c. salivator (Jack the Ripper), 1x m. cochinchinensis (Hufflepuff - R.I.P.), 2x c. lorteti (Tommy and Tigern = Calvin and Hubbes), 1x m. suvatti (Koseklumpen), 1x m. palembangensis (Dragonfly), 2x t. biocellatus (Koken and Fiken).
I would suspect the salivator to kill the irrubesco females. Even though your male has been behaving nicely earlier, I wouldn't have dared to try. BTW what happened to the female? Did he kill her in the end?

I have a male and a female salivator.
I have had a lot of different fishes in that tank but never an other puffer :S
Maybe I will try to put them in... While I still have a tank to put them in if everything goes wrong?!

I lost two puffers last year: my irrubesco male and my dear, dear Hufflepuff. I really miss him, and I don't know what happened to him. He was very well, and suddenly I found him dead one morning. I was a big shock. I still miss him. Even my mother, who isn't interested in my fishies, had made a comment that she misses him (or she did last time she visited me). Otherwise my puffers are mostly well. I have a little problem with IPs that seems to jump from one tank to another. As soon as I've the fishes in one tank well, it has started in another tank. My puffers have of course been the fishes in most trouble. It hasn't been anything serious (except for the irrubesco male who probably had IPs), as I've been able to give them meds before they have turned too ill. Now I've given dewormer to all my tanks except one (yes, to 24 tanks) and desinfected all the equipment I use for my water changes, and I hope I am now rid of the nasty stuff.

24 tanks!? OMG! That's alot!
I hate losing any fish.
Actually it's 25 tanks, but one of them doesn't share equipment with the others, so I didn't have to give meds to that one. 25 tanks is the punishment for loving 3 different kinds of fishes: puffers, cories and suckermouth catfishes. The puffers of course need a lot of tanks because I have to keep them in species only tanks. And the cories, I have 14 different species now. But only a few of them are in species only tanks. The suckermouths, are all over the house. They usually end up in tanks where there are a lot of other fishes - with one exception: my zebra plecos. They are in a species only tank - the only tank I don't share any equipment with the other tanks. That's partly because of the price of the fishes (they are the most expensive fishes I have), combined with their shyness which makes it difficult to monitor their health.
But I think I am taking this a little off topic right now. Sorry!
