Puffer Tank Cracked water all over the place

Sometime between 6 am and 1:00pm MY 120 gallon tank crack and broke. I Lost all of the water went on the carpet and back of the couch. I am known the couch is gone but I am pretty sure the carpet is two. I am sure this has happen to someone on here so I was hoping for some advice. Did you call the insurance company? If you did what did you tell them? Did they accept your claim?

It happened to me. My insurance wouldn't cover anything but it's always good to ask. You may have coverage. It all depends on your insurance company. The way we saved our carpet is we used a shop vac and a steam cleaner. You can rent one at most grocery stores. Just suck out as much water as you can from the carpet and the sofa, then put some fans on it. As many fans as you can find. Turn them on high and let them run. My carpet was dried within 12 hours. Or you can call a carpet cleaner and they can extract the water from the sofa and carpet.

I forgot to mention: I don't know if you unpluged everything yet, if not be extremely careful when doing this. Remember everything is wet and you don't want to get the shock of your life.

I've done about 9 gallons.. a shop vac sucked most of the water out and fans did the rest.

happened to me.. lucky out floor was tiled....!

so a mop did the trick.. =)
