Dwarf alvenior???????

Post by Huffle&Puffle »

Looking at the stock list from the lfs supplier i came across this name............is it the standard dwarf puffer or another variety....is it freshwater?
Also on the stock sheet were:
Figure 8's
Green spotted
Topaz puffers
Which are all brakish/marine variety.

Really want to introduce puffers to the customers but i can only cater to freshwaters at the moment! Was hoping for SAPs as they're a great community puffer but they don't do these.
180 litre community tank
2 SAP
4 female betta
etc

Is there any scientific name attached to it?
I would think it's a Dwarf puffer period. If it is then yes it's fw.

Does anyone know of any uk suppliers with SAPs?
Cheers for the responses.

Hey Paul

I don't know any suppliers but I got my SAP from Kingfisher Aquarium in Beckenham and they had loads of males and females (see link below)
http://www.allinlondon.co.uk/directory/1291/75670.php

They also had:-
Red Eye Puffer Males and females
Fugu's Puffers
Freshwater Golden/Bronze Puffers
Banded Puffers
Green Spotted Puffers

I'm not sure if different lfs would help each other out like this but you could ask where they're getting their stock from

Hope that's helped :)
