Hello
I have a 3.5inch Mbu and a 1.5 inch SAP, do you think it would be ok to put a few Dwarf Puffers in with them?
I already have 5 1.5 inch Guppies, 9 3/4 inch Cardinal Tetras, 4 3.5 inch bottom feeder sharks (not sure of their name they came with the tank) and a S Fighter
The whole tank gets on well together and the Mbu doesn't see the small Tetras as food
The tank is 4 ft x 1.5 ft x 1.5 ft (about 250 litres), and will be upgraded in the future for the Mbu
The tank also has loads of plants and bog wood decorating it so there's lots to do and there's loads of hiding places
Thanks
Do you think I could put4Dwarf Puffers in with my Mbu n SAP?

the mbu should really be the only puffer in the tank especially when small. when they are older they may be tollerant of other mbus but this is still rare

The dp's would torment those guppies.

I think that it is important to keep in mind that the Mbu will get huge. Although it would look cool, ask yourself if it would really be best for the fish to house a future monster with nippers that only get about an inch. If the Mbu eats a tetra, it's not really a problem. However, if the Mbu eats a DP, it will puff, and you will have a big problem. I would have to say a definate no. Focus on getting a bigger tank for the Mbu instead of seeing how many different types of puffers you can fit in one tank. He will outgrow it before you know it.
That's just my $ .02

Thanks for the feedback guys
Think I'll leave it for now and maybe just get an extra tank for DP's in the future
